Experience and Education
Dani is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has a Masters in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University with an emphasis in family and couples therapy and focus areas in positive psychology and expressive arts. Dani’s post-graduate training includes grief and loss, psychodrama, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and Process therapy.
Her past work as an MFT trainee at the YWCA Counseling Center in Silicon Valley ignited her passion to work with, adults in transition, couples and LGBTQ adolescents. She completed a second-year traineeship at Santa Clara County Family and Child Behavioral Health in Sunnyvale, where she was able to use a strength-based wellness and recovery model to help families and adolescents discover their strengths and inner resources to support their healing and growth. She also provided therapy to clients at Hospice of the Valley, where she specialized in grief, loss and bereavement.
As an undergraduate, Dani attended New York University and Goucher College and also earned a Masters in Theatre from Indiana University, Bloomington. Before beginning her career as a therapist, she spent over 12 years as a theater teacher and director and discovered her passion supporting people to live their best life through being creative, spontaneous, and confident in themselves.
