Psychodrama is an empowering alternative to traditional therapy, which is nearing its 100th birthday. It’s based on the insight that most of what we learn, we learn by doing. Instead of sitting on a couch, you can expect to get active, using guided drama and wordplay to work through problems and accelerate your progress.
How psychodrama works
Psychotherapy can happen in a group, or one-on-one with Dani Salzer. During each session, you will reenact scenes and experiences with Dani’s help, using them as jumping off points to gain greater understanding, problem solve, make changes, and learn new life skills.
As part of your session, you may use role playing, acting, or other drama techniques to better understand and explore solutions to the conflicts affecting your life.
In a group setting, your peers will play the roles of important people in your life, or they might act as your audience, offering support and insights that help you reach new growth.
